Home Minister Amit Shah holds meeting with allied Gorkha leaders in Sukna

Union Home Minister Amit Shah held an important meeting with allied Gorkha leaders at Sukna in Darjeeling, West Bengal. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, Chief Secretary Manoj Agarwal, Hill Affairs State Minister Bishal Lama, Gorkha leaders Bimal Gurung and Man Ghishing, Lok Sabha MP Raju Bist, along with four other Gorkha MLAs, were present at the meeting.
According to Gorkha Janmukti Morcha President Bimal Gurung, the issue of a permanent political solution regarding the long-pending demand will be discussed at the meeting. Details of the meeting are yet to emerge.
Later today, the Union Home Minister will chair a high-level Siliguri Corridor meeting with senior BSF, SSB, IB, police and other state and Central officials.
