HM Amit Shah stresses, India will emerge as the world’s third-largest economy by the end of next year

Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has stressed that the country will emerge as the world’s third-largest economy by the end of next year. He was addressing a public meeting at his native town Mansa in Gandhinagar district after launching and inaugurating development projects worth over 267 crore rupees.

Mr. Shah said, the government is committed to making India a global leader in every sector by the year 2047. On the occasion, he described the Somnath Temple as a symbol of the country’s identity and self-respect. He added that the government will celebrate the Somnath Swabhiman Parva throughout the year to showcase the temple’s thousand-year-old glorious history and to pass on this legacy of self-respect to future generations.

Mr. Shah said Ahmedabad is emerging as a new global hub for sports and the efforts are underway to host the 2036 Olympic Games in the city. He urged local athletes to take full advantage of the newly constructed sports complex in Mansa.

In another event, Mr. Shah said, India has witnessed unprecedented growth in the field of biotechnology. Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the BSL-4 Biocontainment Facility of Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre in Gandhinagar, Mr Shah said, the country’s bio economy was 10 billion US dollar in 2014 which has increased to 166 billion US dollar by the end of the 2024.
